Condo Community Focused Lawyering is Here with MC Law
Toronto, ON – Established in Spring 2024, Mathews Condo Law (“MC Law”) is a full-service condominium law firm created with intention. Joy Mathews, lawyer and educator, leads his carefully selected team of legal professionals to provide services for the condominium industry including corporate, litigation, and alternative dispute resolution solutions.
With a mindful recognition of how a community is as strong as their members, MC Law also intends to disrupt and redefine the current landscape of healthy and holistic community living by means of education and advocacy for mental health and wellness within condominium communities.
“We are here to provide legal support to the condominium industry of course, but we are also here to help navigate challenging mental health circumstances within our condominium communities. In addition to our legal services, MC Law will be focused on mental health awareness and fostering open dialogue to promote a culture of knowledge and compassion within condominium communities.”
In addition to his Juris Doctor degree, Joy Mathews’ educational background includes a degree in Kinesiology and a Masters in Moral & Legal Philosophy. He holds a black belt in Shotokan-Ryu Karate and has competed in numerous international martial arts competitions with Arnis Filipino Stick Fighting. Joy leads MC Law with the same competitive spirit and passion and has curated a strong team that shares his vision for more community-based and compassionate lawyering.
Besides MC Law, Joy keeps abreast of the condominium law industry as a whole and enjoys teaching as an Adjunct Professor of Law at York University as well as being the lead instructor of Condominium Law at George Brown College.
